NESTA: NESTA is the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts - a unique body with a mission to make the UK more innovative. We invest in early-stage companies, inform and shape policy, and deliver practical programmes that inspire others to solve the big challenges of the future.
2GETHER: 2gether started in the summer of 2008 in a lovely Victorian school in Shoreditch, East London. Over two days, hundreds of people (in person and online) joined a festival to explore and celebrate how technology can be used to promote social progress. They came from very different worlds; from technology, media, the arts, NGOs, social media experts, campaigners, politicians and entrepreneurs. Everyone was there to collaborate and to develop practical solutions to some of our most pressing public issues. 2gether is now growing into a network of people getting things done aided by new social technologies. The team behind 2gether08 festival - germination and policy unplugged - are producing Reboot Britain.
